No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Doesn't power on anymore. Have some minor glitching issues during the 1st year. Called customer service and was told the 10 year Limited warranty only covers 2 parts after 12 months (one for rust?). What a joke. They don't make things like they used to.

This was a replacement to the previous Maytag. I am very pleased with this model and it fit perfectly where the old one was located. I like the easy features displayed in all of the settings.
