KitchenAid 36'' 4-Burner with Griddle, Dual Fuel Freestanding Range, Commercial-Style - Stainless Steel

Love the small burner. Delicate sauces are so easy now.

After lots of research, reading reviews and comparing features, prices etc. we purchased the KitchenAid range as part of a kitchen remodel. We couldn't be happier. The burners offer great temperature control, the oven is precise in maintaining temperature and the griddle works great. The key to the griddle is to allow for 20 minutes of warm-up and to heat it up to clean it as is outlined by KitchenAid. Not a big deal. We ordered a stainless KitchenAid cover for the griddle for when it's not in use (should have been included at this price point) that helps keep it free of spatter from cooking on the burners. The keypad beeps too much when cleaning even when locked is my only real annoyance. The black bed for the burners looks good after use. We had a Monogram stainless cooktop in another home and the stainless around the burners tends to discolor after use-not so with the KitchenAid This design looks much better in the long term. We installed this in a new home. it looks very nice and performs well. Two small things that we are not crazy about is that the clock does not face out and the screen beeps at you constantly when you try to clean it, even if you lock the controls.

Great looking stove. After about two weeks of use and and still learning it's features. Like the amount of BTUs, which requires adjusting cooking habits and recipes. Like the griddle, but have had problems with pancakes. First side goes great, but second side really sticks. Are there any guide lines for what temperature the griddle should be set for cooking particular foods and related pre-heat times? Do have some concerns bout the extension rack. It is very difficult to remove and install. We have opted to not use it. It also has a tendency to droop when extended, creating an unsafe situation. Also if you do not leave at least one space above the standard rack, that lower rack can not be pulled out. On the whole we really the stove!
