Poor Design

I am extremely disappointed with this dryer. Regardless of the size of the load the clothes get stuck on the giant lint filter causing excessive wrinkling to the point of requiring a rewash. This dryer should be recalled and replaced with an appropriate design. This is a very poor design which should have been killed in product testing.

This is the worst dryer I've ever used, and I am SO upset that I spent so much money on it and have had to make multiple service calls on it within a MONTH of owning it! It has a weird shaped fin on it which is longer and causes my laundry to get stuck (and ruined) when it spins around to the lint catcher. So far my Ugg slipper has been bent and now is very uncomfortable to wear, the bottom of my dog's bed was melted and now there is black melted stuff on the back of the dryer because the drum got stuck and apparently kept blowing heat out, my kids waterproof mattress covers have little holes in them now because those got stuck between the fin and lint catcher. I am not doing anything differently drying wise than what I have done with the past 3 dyers I have used in my life, it's all because if this weird fin they put in the dryer that keeps making things get stuck! Fix this Electrolux!!! It's a terrible design! Also, I wash socks and underwear together, and when those are drying, they are constantly getting stuck sitting on top of the lint catcher, so those end up requiring extra drying time if I'm not around and can keep opening the door to push them back into the drum to circulate again.On a plus side (the reason for 2 stars and not 1), it does dry well, and I like that the auto dry seems to work very well! I tried the steam dry (first for me) and I loved how my kids sheets came out refreshed.

We purchased a new washer/dryer set based on the salesperson's recommendation because of the "improved" lint screen. The second time we used the dryer, the lint screen came out and socks went down the vent and one became stuck. I called Electrolux and they said it was due to "user error" and were going to charge me for the service call. I assured them I knew how a lint screen worked, so they sent a repairman out no charge. The lint screen continued to come out and I have videos of it. Electrolux would not refund our purchase because it had only happened to ten other customers. The appliance store said they would stand behind the dryer and sent out a replacement. The same thing happened again!!!! Once again, Electrolux would not stand behind their product and the appliance store would not refund our money. We have many videos of this happening. We are so concerned about a fire hazard and would love nothing more than to get a refund for our washer, dryer and the pedestals we purchased. Electrolux has since acknowledged a design flaw and we have had our lint screen replaced. Regardless, we are not happy with this set and are still worried about a fire hazard. We are going to voice our concerns with consumer reporting companies. We do have videos, but Electrolux said they do not need to see them as they have many reported cases. This is a shortened version, but we have spent many hours on this concern. It's interesting that I had to modify my original review. We want our money back.
