Seemed ok for a couple years, but as soon as the warranty ran out, the machine will not finish any cycle at all. Additionally, this machine does not have a spin only cycle and I didn't realize that when I made this horrible purchase. UGH...now what do I do with this $1,300 loss. I really just need to bit the bullet and will get a new one. Guess what, will not buy Whirlpool.

I was on the fence to buy this unit after reading mixed reviews but still did based on the Whirlpool quality brand. I replaced my front loading Duet series with this machine as I wanted more volume and better cleaning performance. At first it seemed fine but then the family kept mentioning that their clothes either were not clean or still had a lot of soap smell. Today I was hands on doing chores and began laundry duty. With only a 1/3 load of light exercise clothing it took three attempts plus an additional spin cycle to get a load done. First the load was done prematurely. I began to unload only to find the top level of clothes wet with the bottom totally dry. I ran the cycle again. This time the washer was stuck at 58 minutes occasionally moving up to 59 and then back to 58 minutes. This remained for 15 minutes. So, I stopped the cycle and tried again with a deep water setting ( I should not have to use this for a small load of light clothing socks, t-shirts etc). I came back a hour later to find the cycle finished but all the clothes sopping wet as if the spin cycle never happened. I then performed a rinse spin cycle only to wait another 15 minutes to get the excess water out of the clothes. One load almost 4 hours?! I assume some of these problems have happened in the past hence bringing my family concerns regarding the cleanliness of the clothes and or the soap residue issue. Washer is only 6 months old with minimal use. I wanted to stay with the Whirlpool brand but this is very disappointing for this premier level washer. I will try the next load in bulk and deep water mode to see if I can get a successful one run wash. For a unit with all these options, I would expect it to work for the most basic of loads. :-(

I bought this washer 15 months ago and we are experiencing issues with washer not completing wash cycle. The timer keeps on going up everytime it runs the first wash cycle. It would run for 2 or 3 hours before cycle ends and the clothes are completely soaked. We thought that we were purchasing a top of the line washing machine but it appears that it's the worst decision we ever made. I would very much like a refund or get a replacement washer with the old dial knob.
