I purchased this unit in September and overall i am happy with the performance. I have experienced a leak problem in which the ice maker in the lower freezer is leaking into the drawer pan. I called and Whirlpool sent out a service tech who replaced the valves on the first visit and the icemaker on the second visit. Time will tell if this resolves the issue. Again, overall I am happy with thr unit.

At first when we purchased this product less than 3 years ago, it seemed to be working just fine. In the past two months we have had to have a service person come out because our evaporator assembly unit stopped working correctly. This is what controls the thermostat, defroster, and evaporator fan. A brand new one was put in and everything seemed to be working just fine for 2 months. We are back to square one with the same issue again. We are beginning to feel like this is a faulty product. I think we overpaid for this product. After looking at other brands with similar features that are out now, we can buy a brand new one for half the cost of this. It's already cost almost $500 to repair this once. This is the second faulty Whirlpool product we have bought over the past 10 years. I think I will move away from Whirlpool -- I have lost my confidence in this company.

Purchased in the last couple of weeks to replace Frigidaire Pro that had some design flaws and lot of service calls. We wish this Whirlpool for the price would have an option to display the actual temperatures in the various compartments. Since you can set the temperature, it would seem easy to be able to display the actual temperature. The stainless steel facade is nice but it really shows smudges from fingers and hands very easily. Bottom ice maker has a huge capacity. Will be nice for guests. Like all the various compartments and the flexible way you can use them - both shelves and drawers. So far so good. With bad experiences in the past we opted for a 5 year extended warranty. Hopefully this unit will last.

We bought this 15 months ago and the original refrigerator broke beyond repair. Whirlpool customer service was amazing and they replaced the original unit. We ended up purchasing the 3 yr warranty with the new unit.
