Disappointed in Whirlpool

I would not recommend this product and obviously neither would Whirlpool since it is no longer being sold. We have had it only two years, and of course the warranty is only for 1 year because they do not stand behind this product. We have never had cold water from the water dispense which we always thought was odd, but we were told it is normal.... Now the lights dimmed, then the freezer light completely died. Plus the icemaker stopped working all together today. Called Whirlpool for information and they told us to unplug it for a few minutes and then turn it back on to see if that would help. Well it didn't. So now we have to waste our money on a new one. Product should at least last longer than two years. quoted that it would be over $100 just to have someone come out and diagnose the issue!!!

The ice machine is horrible. Didn’t take a cube out for 92 hours and it still isn’t filled.

Spill proof shelves work!

I bought this a short while ago and am so pleased with the refrigerator/freezer. I had a test run for the spill proof shelves when a bag of frozen fish tore and began to leak. As it was limited to the shelf it was on, I was pleased to avoid a total clean out. My only criticism of the appliance is that it is not as tall as my previous similar side by side. It seems to hold a bit less capacity. The lighting inside is superior to our last fridge.

I love the led lighting and the sensor that tells me when to change the filter! Also the handles are not big and bulky and stick out.
