Great upgrade to my home theater!

I bought this player about 6 months ago and absolutely love it. I have the UN78HU9000 from 2014 and while I’ve gotten the evolution kit for it, the interface has slowed down. The TV’s picture is still breathtaking so, not wanting to buy a new tv, I purchased this instead. The installation was a breeze and after I connected it to my receiver and started Netflix, my jaw dropped at the difference. This player made my tv rival those the flagship models in stores today. The sound decoding is phenomenal as well working in tandem with my Marantz for superior sound. My only complaint is the buttons on the player need to be pressed very hard to work and that Hulu isn’t supported anymore (although that’s not Samsung’s fault)

I didn't realize how fast Samsung products depreciate until I tried to sell them(smart tv & blu ray DVD player) after one year of use.

500 dollers for somthing that only last a year i will never own ever again a samsung product pure junk you put products out like that you wont be around much longer

It looks and sounds great. The only downside that I see is that I would expect something at this price to have better build quality. Other than that, I think it's perfect. disregard the negative reviews in this section as they sound like they are from people who don't know how to operate their electronics properly. One huge bonus for me is that I can stream music from my pc using the player.

I am using this player with a very high end Samsung 75" QN75Q 9FNA which I believe is their best 4K TV. The problem is that all video is very dark. Even when pumping the brightness and tweaking both devices for untold hours the 4K discs are just barely okay but the older HD Blueray disks are too dark to watch. Had to add my old Sony player back to the system so we can watch G.O.T. blueray disks etc.
